1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Resume Tailor Tool website and services ("Service") operated by Resume Tailor Tool ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Description of the Service

Resume Tailor Tool is an AI-powered tool that helps you tailor your resume to specific job descriptions. You provide your resume and a job description; our system generates rewritten and reorganized content intended to better match the job posting. You can then review, edit, and download the result. The Service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

4. We Do Not Invent Experience

Our AI only rewrites, rephrases, and highlights information that you provide in your resume. It does not add, invent, or fabricate work experience, education, skills, or qualifications. You represent that the resume content you submit is accurate and reflects your own background. You are solely responsible for ensuring that all information in your resume—including any AI-tailored output you choose to use—is truthful and not misleading. We are not responsible for any inaccuracies in your input or for how you use the generated output. Use of the Service does not constitute legal, career, or employment advice.

5. AI Output and Accuracy

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate tailored resume content. AI output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or formatting issues. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any generated content for any particular job, employer, or applicant tracking system (ATS). You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all output before using it in applications. We are not liable for any outcomes—including missed opportunities or rejections—that result from your use of the Service or the generated content.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law
Submit content that infringes others' intellectual property or privacy rights
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other accounts, or third-party services
Use automated means (e.g. bots, scrapers) to access the Service except as we expressly permit
Abuse the Service (e.g. creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free uses, circumventing usage limits, or overloading our systems)
Resell or redistribute the Service or output in a manner that competes with us or violates these Terms

We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

7. Account and Security

You must create an account to use certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to safeguard your credentials.

8. Payments, Credits, and Refunds

We may offer a limited free use of the Service and paid credit packs or subscriptions for additional use. Prices and terms are displayed at the time of purchase. Payment is processed by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe); you agree to their terms as applicable. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as we explicitly state (e.g. in a refund policy for a specific product). Credits are for your personal use and do not expire unless otherwise stated; we reserve the right to set expiration or usage terms for promotional credits. We do not guarantee refunds for dissatisfaction with AI output or for unused credits, unless required by applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, and software (excluding your content), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal use in accordance with these Terms. You retain ownership of the resume and job description content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us the rights necessary to operate the Service (e.g. to process and store your content and generate output). You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. USE OF THE SERVICE AND ANY OUTPUT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE (AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD $100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES; IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated via the Service or by email where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

14. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
